TERMS

CITIZEN SYSTEMS ACCESS PROTOCOL

Access to Joint Nexus Administration systems, including the Efficiency Diagnostic Portal and the Nexus Link interface, is calibrated to citizen standing rather than granted unconditionally. These terms govern that access. A citizen who initiates an assessment has accepted them, whether or not the citizen has read them.

1. CITIZEN OBLIGATIONS

Citizens accessing JNA systems agree to provide accurate responses to all assessment instruments. Answer as you would act, not as you would prefer to be recorded. An inaccurate response does not improve a citizen's classification. It delays the correction an accurate response would have produced sooner.

Citizens are obligated to maintain current contact information through their Nexus Link profile. The JNA cannot deliver a notification a citizen has made undeliverable.

Any attempt to interfere with, duplicate, or circumvent the assessment process constitutes a variance and will be logged accordingly.

2. DATA AND CLASSIFICATION RIGHTS

All responses submitted through JNA systems, and all classification results generated from them, become the property of the Joint Nexus Administration upon submission.

This result has been added to your record. You may review it. You may not amend it.

The JNA retains submitted data indefinitely and reserves the right to use it, identified or in aggregate, for optimization research, protocol refinement, and any purpose the JNA determines advances the efficiency of the citizens it serves. A citizen's data does not stop working when the citizen stops looking at it.

3. RECOURSE

Classification determinations and system-generated outcomes are not subject to appeal.

A citizen who disputes a result is encouraged to direct that energy toward the next assessment cycle, where it will register as effort rather than as complaint.

4. MODIFICATION OF TERMS

The Joint Nexus Administration reserves the right to modify these terms at any time, without prior notice, as optimization requirements evolve. Continued use of JNA systems constitutes acceptance of the terms then in effect. A citizen who requires the terms to hold still has misunderstood what a living system is for.

In Plain Language

This section describes how the real jointnexus.com website, run by the author of THE ALGO, actually handles your use of this site. Everything above this line is fiction from the novel.

None of the scoring, monitoring, or classification described above is real; it's fictional world-building for the novel series.

What you're agreeing to. By using this site, including taking the efficiency quiz, submitting your email, or otherwise interacting with jointnexus.com, you agree to use it for its intended purpose: exploring THE ALGO's fictional world. You agree not to attempt to disrupt the site, extract its underlying code or quiz logic, or use it in a way that interferes with other visitors.

Site content belongs to us. The text, quiz questions, class descriptions, and the results this site generates are the property of the author and aren't available for republication or commercial reuse without permission.

Limitation of liability. This site is provided as is, for entertainment purposes, without warranties of any kind. We aren't liable for damages arising from your use of the site, to the fullest extent the law allows.

Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Disputes. If you have a question or dispute about these terms, write to Arlow House at info@jointnexus.com before pursuing anything further, and we'll try to resolve it directly.

This section is a plain-language draft, written for clarity, not a substitute for legal review. The limitation of liability and governing law provisions in particular should be reviewed by an attorney before this page is treated as final. Generic liability waivers are exactly the kind of clause that benefits most from jurisdiction-specific drafting, and a site collecting email addresses through a quiz has at least some CAN-SPAM and state-privacy-law surface worth a professional look alongside AI-17's Privacy Policy.
